What is the difference between Talalay foam and Dunlop foam?

0

Talalay latex foam is created using the Talalay manufacturing process. Talalay latex is more consistent and has a plusher feel than a Dunlop latex foam of similar ILD. Talalay latex foam conforms more perfectly and uniformly to any weight placed on it. It is available in a wider variety of firmnesses just because the Talalay manufacturing process allows for it. On the other hand, a Dunlop latex foam is created using the Dunlop process. In the Dunlop process, which is a Continuous process, the latex is poured, cured, washed, and dried on a 150 ft. long belt. The process doe not allow for air extraction and freezing stages (unique to the Talalay process) and thus creates a firmer and also denser product than Talalay latex foam. Production of latex foam using the Dunlop process is less extensive and cheaper and therefore the Dunlop process is most commonly used in the latex industry. Dunlop latex foam is mostly used in mattress base cores but is also a great economical alternative for mat
