Student Members join the Institute in order to take one of its qualifications. Students successfully completing the Diploma in Internal Audit Practice, Advanced Diploma in Internal Auditing and Management or Qualification in Computer Auditing will then be eligible for voting membership. Students successfully completing the Certificate in Internal Audit and Business Risk will remain non voting members. Affiliate Members receive the same benefits as Student Members but do not have to take exams and do not have any voting rights. This type of membership is usually suitable for those who might only be in internal audit for a short time or are not interested in studying towards a qualification at this point in their career.
