Strategy is the larger picture, the “long run” that we so often speak of, while tactics are more specific and immediate. Both are plans, but one takes in more factors. Tactics would not involve thinking of the economics of 20 years in the future, strategy would. Strategy would pay attention to later repercussions of tactics.
