What is the difference between stereo and mono?
Stereo connections have three wires that can go to a single connector with three contact points on it (line 1, line 2 and a ground). Or, the three wires that create stereo sound can go to two connectors with one connector carrying line 1 and the other connector carrying line 2, and each will be grounded together or separately. Mono connections require only two wires, line 1 and a ground.
