What is the difference between stainless and black?

The difference between stainless and black is really just personal preference. The stainless is 304 stainless and has a slightly polished finish. The black is 10-18 steel and is primed then painted with 2 coats of black enamel. Stainless is a little stronger but since these handles are about 6 inches in overall length, either will be plenty strong. The stainless costs more because it’s harder to machine and also costs more for the raw material. Some people like the way polished stainless looks rather than black but I sell a lot of each. Once the Short Stick is installed, you will rarely, if ever, see it since it will be under the shift boot.
