What is the difference between Speech Communication and Mass Communication?
While both Speech and Mass Communication are part of the communication spectrum, Speech Communication emphasizes issues and concerns associated with spoken communication in personal and work relationships, mediated communication, intercultural communication, concerns of identity, gender, and power, and issues of ethics. Mass Communication, on the other hand, involves the use of media whereby messages are transmitted to large segments of the population, typically through newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and film.
