What is the difference between sparkling wine and cider?

Wine can be made with any fruit that you let ferment. We just tend to think of grape wine when we use the word ‘wine’ because it is the most common (and delicious) variety. Sparkling wine is made 2 ways. The more traditional method is made by fermenting wine longer than normal to get carbonation. But it can also be made by injecting CO2 into a still wine. Cider is made from fermented apples and can be either still or sparkling. In my experience the sparkling ciders are labeled and such and usually have injected CO2. If you have the chance try some one that isn’t carbonated. They are lovely.
