What is the difference between SPAM and junk email?
SPAM is generally objectionable, fraudulent, or dangerous email that serves no legitimate purpose. Junk mail is generally legitimate, but potentially unwanted email from vendors and other sources. It is more difficult to identify accurately than SPAM, and individual users may have different criteria for what they consider junk.
