What is the difference between soy candles and other candles?
Most candles (with the exception of beeswax and palm wax candles) are made with petroleum-based wax known as paraffin. When paraffin burns it generates smoke, but soy wax burns cleaner and more slowly without generating smoke. If you burn paraffin candles you have probably noticed how they discolor walls or ceilings that they are near. This won’t happen with soy candles. Soy candles are also longer lasting than paraffin candles, and they can be scented more heavily, which makes them very fragrant! Soy is also softer than traditional candle wax, which is why the soy candles are all in containers. To keep your candle burning cleanly, be sure to keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch and follow the safety guidelines on the bottom of the containers.
