What is the difference between solution-dyed and vat-dyed topping?
The yarn of a solution dyed fabric has the color in the yarn whereas vat dyed product is dyed after the fabric is woven. The color in a solution-dyed yarn has greater resistance to fading and color migration. A good way to remember the difference is Vat Dyed is like an apple only color on the outside. Solution dyed is like a carrot, with color all the way through.
