What is the difference between Solid wood flooring & Listone Giordano Engineered Hardwood Flooring?
Solid hardwood is just that, a solid piece of wood with no support. This means that solid wood does not react well to changes in humidity and is limited in regards to where it can be installed. Listone Giordano Engineered Flooring is composed of a generous Quarter-Sawn hardwood wear layer glued over 5-ply or 7-ply marine birch plywood. “Listone Giordano” flooring is more stable to changes in relative humidity and can be installed in places that are not recommended for solid flooring, such as in basements and Condominiums. “Listone Giordano” hardwood flooring can also be stapled down on a wood sub floor with the extra advantage of being glued down directly over concrete, Tiles & Marble. With the Canadian Climate having one of most variable levels of Humidity conditions season after season (winter & summer) only time will prove the stability of Listone Giordano Engineered Hardwood Flooring.
