Sometimes they are the same but usually if you are looking at the same item and they have 24 months and 2T, the 2T will be bigger. Its quite stupid actually because they should be the same thing. But I have found that 24 months is usually designed for a large baby (my one year old wears it) and 2T is usually designed for an average/small toddler. So sometimes you will find that a shirt may still button between the legs in 24 months but be a normal shirt in 2T and up (for instance, Kmart’s brand Small Wonders does this with their shirts). So while it varies from brand to brand 2T is generally a bit larger. You will see that baby/kids clothing sizes are so stupid you just need to guess and try stuff on her. My daughter is 16 months and has clothes ranging in her closet that fit her perfectly including 12 months, 18 months, 24 months, 2T, and even a couple 3T shirts. Now does that make sense to you at all?! Congrats on your little girl btw!
