What is the difference between single knit and double knit slippers?
Single knit slippers are knitted with two strands of yarn (one of each color) they are warm and comfy. Double knit slippers are made with 4 strands of yarn (two of each color) making these slippers ultra warm and much more durable. The only exception to this is when we use one color that is super bulky yarn (a thickness equal to or greater than that of two strands of yarn put together). Then we may use a total of 3 strands of yarn instead of 4. This will be left to our discretion as to whether it will look right to have 3 or 4 strands of yarn used. We have found that our double knit slippers last much longer and certainly keep your feet much warmer than single knit slippers. Everyone has their own preferences. Which style you choose depends upon your personal preferences as well as the climate you live in or the time of year you plan to wear your slippers. Slippers can be worn any time of year!
