What is the difference between security deposits and cleaning fee?

0

Security deposits are refundable if no additional payments/damages are incurred during the lease period. Generally, the cleaning fee will cover the cost of cleaning the unit if it has been routinely kept clean and is left in good shape; however, additional fees will be incurred if bathrooms have calcium buildup, trash or unwanted items are left in the house, floors/walls or cabinets/closets are not clean, blinds/walls/appliances are damaged or marred, cigarettes butts are scattered in the yard, or similar situations occur that require additional cleaning time.
