What is the difference between SCADE Notes and Comments?
SCADE Notes (or Annotations) and Comments (available through their corresponding tab Note/Comments of the Properties box) both represent 2 means to add, at any stage of the software development, information that is not part of the SCADE entities formalism. Comments only contain informal and unformatted text, and are systematically stored in the .saofd file just before the commented SCADE object, according to the following syntax: — Comments, line 1 — Comments, line 2 … — Comments, line N Annotations are based on a structured mechanism, which allows two possible approaches: • “disciplined” approach: annotations are structured; in that case, there is an associated note type which defines the annotation structure. • “spontaneous” approach: annotations contain informal text.
