• Save as Draft indicates that return information is still being worked on and is not ready to be submitted but will be saved. Any authorized user can return to iFile to make changes to a draft before filing. • Save as Prepared saves the return and automatically sends an email to the Approver or Master users that the tax return is ready for filing and payment. • File Return submits the return and initiates payment on returns where there is tax due. Only Approvers and Master users are authorized to file and pay returns. I filed on time but received a penalty notice. On the Home page, please check the filing status and dates. If the status is PREPARED or DRAFT, the return has not been filed and paid. Please open the return and complete the filing and payment of your return.
