SART stands for School Attendance Review Team and SARB stands for School Attendance Review Board. If a student has poor attendance the school will first assemble a SART as a means of intervention. If this does not improve the student’s attendance then the student and parent/guardian will be required to appear before a SARB at the District Office. Poor attendance could result in an appearance before the district attorney.
