What is the difference between Sapphire Photo Abrasion and Sapphire Abrasion?
A. Sapphire Abrasion is a non-thermal and suction-free process that employs a vibrating sapphire head tipped with sapphire granules to ablate outer layers of skin deeply and painlessly. Dry and wet abrasion is performed allowing for varying depths of exfoliation followed by an alternating pressure massage to allow lymphatic drainage and detoxification. Sapphire Photo Abrasion is also a non-thermal and suction-free abrasion process that employs a vibrating sapphire head coupled with red LED light therapy. Dry and wet photo abrasion is performed, allowing for varying depths of exfoliation. A Photo Lymphatic Drainage procedure follows – an alternating pressure massage that allows lymphatic drainage and detoxification. The patient is exposed to red LED throughout. Red monochromatic light – Aids in the stimulation of cells, increasing RNA and DNA synthesis, stimulation of the fibroblasts in the connective tissue, producing collagen, elasticity and firmness of the skin.
