The extra Safety Rails are a complete set of rails to go around the top bed (making 3 horizontal planks in total per side) and thus provide extra safety for younger children. The Safety Pack is the set of grab rails for the ladder. You also get luminous self-adhesive plastic pads to stick on the treads and luminous caps to insert on the top of each of the four corner posts of the bed. The safety Pack is available in pink or blue and is a particularly useful addition for younger children especially with straight ladders.
