What is the difference between R&R and ordinary leave?
R&R leave travel is funded by the Army while Soldiers must pay for ordinary leave travel. R&R travel is funded utilizing the city-pair airfare to Frankfurt, Germany (OCONUS Destination) or Baltimore, Maryland (CONUS Destination) in accordance with JFTR Appendix U (REF A). If an R&R traveler desires to fly to a more expensive location, the traveler is responsible for the additional costs.
