Rutgers University used to operate under a collegiate structure that some of you may be familiar with. Under the Rutgers umbrella were unique colleges like Cook, Douglass, Livingston, Rutgers and University along with several degree-granting units like Mason Gross. Many of these divisions maintained Parents Organizations on and off over the years. Rutgers University has undergone a massive reorganization behind-the-scenes and we are now one Rutgers more than ever. The Rutgers Parents Association (RPA) is a relatively new organization in that regard because it now incorporates all divisions of the University under one parents organization. There was value and hard work put into two active college parents groups – the Cook and Douglass units, so those identities have remained and work with the RPA.
