What is the difference between Remote Desktop and Remote Assistance?
A-Remote Desktop will allow access to a machine without the user being on the other end. It uses an account that is already on the computer and setup with a username and password. Remote Desktop only works between the following Windows Versions: Windows XP Professional Vista Business Vista Ultimate A- Remote Assistance allows remote access to a machine but in this case, both users of the machines must be present. One user will send an invitation to the other user asking them to connect to their machine. In this method all sessions and passwords are encrypted. Remote Assistance works for all XP and Vista versions.
