What is the difference between Red Desert™ Clay for People, Pets and Bathing?
All our Red Desert™ clay calcium montmorillonite comes from the same mine in the very Southeastern corner of California. The layer of clay that is under 12″ down when mined, is crushed, and ground into powder and packaged as Red Desert™ Clay for Pets, and Red Desert™ Clay for a detoxification bath. Directly underneath this layer is pure, very hard rock strata. This layer is more than 25’below the surface. When mined it is crushed and ground at an FDA approved processing plant, where it is also screened to a very fine mesh size (approx 2 – 5 microns per particle) for Red Desert™ Clay edible powder or tablets.
