What is the difference between raw asphalt and liquid asphalt?
Raw asphalt is a solid product that requires heating to make it malleable. Liquid asphalt, on the other hand, is a byproduct of petroleum. It is what Raw Asphalt was thousands of years ago. The reason Raw Asphalt is used in paving is that when it has cooled down it becomes solid once again, thus supplying a hard surface that is far less expensive than concrete.
