What is the difference between Raster and Vector artwork?
Raster artwork is basically made of up a series of small blocks of color. From these small blocks you are able to see the image when they are all put together, side by side. It is important to keep in mind that the larger you blow up a Raster file the larger these blocks of color get. Vector artwork is made up of a series of mathmatically plotted lines, archs, and points. Rather than small blocks of color, vector art uses these lines to outline shapes and fills to fill them in with the right color. Vector artwork be blown up to any size without becoming distorted.
