What is the difference between Radiosity and Ray Tracing rendering techniques?
A. A simplified answer for a very complex topic – Ray tracing produces an image by emitting thousands of rays from the current viewpoint (your eye) toward intersecting surfaces. From each of these intersections more rays are emitted to other surfaces until the vision is “complete” to the user. This results in a viewpoint dependent solution. If you move your eye, the environment must be re-calculated.
