Purified water = Tap or Spring water that has been purified by filtering, reverse osmosis, UV light or other treatments to remove bacteria and sediment. Distilled water = Water that has been boiled to steam and the steam collected and cooled. This leaves water that is nearly mineral, sediment and bacteria free. Due to the lack of normal minerals this water doesn’t taste very good and does not support life as well as water with the minerals still in it. Spring Water = Normally water that is captured from a spring. Fresh Water = Normal drinking water, that is not salinated (Salty). Techically Purified, Distilled and Spring water is fresh water. Also normal tap water or lake/stream/river water is fresh water. Sea water would not be fresh water.

Among these, spring water is the most beneficial in terms of health effects as it still contains natural minerals like magnesium etc… Distilled water may be clean but it also is “dead” as it is already devoid of beneficial minerals.
