What is the difference between public and private lists?
Public lists allow subscribers to subscribe to, or unsubscribe from, any particular list through a public page on the Internet. They will only see a list of the public lists. Private lists that exist in your company’s profile will not appear in the pulldown menu that the public sees. In this way, My Email Lists serves as both an private communication tool witin your organization, plus a public “ListServ” tool for mass communication. Public lists allow subscribers to remove or add themselves to lists. Private lists can only be edited by the list Administrator.
