What is the difference between Psychologist,Psychiatrist, and a Counselor?

Psychologist & Psychiatrist basically have the same training, a combination of psychology & medical training. The primary difference is Psychiatrists can prescribe medication and psychologists can’t. Counselors are basically psychologists with less training. I think psychologists are the best of the bunch, as these days, psychiatrists mainly just prescribe prozac or some garbage like that and don’t really work with people to get THROUGH their issues; they just cover them up with medication. Psychologists, especially those with PHDs have years of training to help people deal and work through their issues. Counselors often just have a few years experience and are probably working on becoming psychologists, so I would not go to one unless it was a minor issue and they were much less expensive.
