What is the difference between proportional and non-proportional braking systems?
A. Proportional systems are usually tapped into the coach’s braking system. As the brakes are applied on the coach, the towed vehicles brakes are applied at the same rate. In other words, if you are 30% into the coach’s Brakes, you will be 30% at the tow vehicle. This type of system is active all the time.
