What is the difference between Procedure A and Procedure B as referenced in ASTM E 1105?
Procedure A uses uniform static air pressure difference across the specimen. Water and pressure are applied and maintained for a period of 15 minutes. Procedure B uses cyclic static air pressure difference across the specimen. Water is applied and maintained while the specimen is subjected to cycles consisting of pressure applied for five minutes and released for one minute unless otherwise specified. The alternating sequence shall be continued until the total time of pressure application is not less than 15 minutes.
