What is the difference between Primera Stone and the two pebble finishes Pearl Matrix and Satin Matrix ?
The Primera Stone and the two pebble finishes Pearl Matrix and Satin Matrix are made up of different kinds of pebbles, plus they have different application processes. The Pearl Matrix and Satin Matrix finishes are exposed aggregate finishes which means that the cement cream on the surface is removed during the final application phase. The Pearl Matrix and Satin Matrix finishes are made up of pebbles derived from quartz stone. On a hardness scale with diamonds being a 10, Quartz pebbles are a 7.5. Quartz pebbles are a very hard stone and do not react with pool chemicals. Primera Stone is a polished pool surface similar to a Terrazzo floor surface. The pebbles in the Primera Stone are made up of a very unique marble stone that contains a high percentage of quartz.
