The Primera Stone™ and the two pebble finishes Pearl Matrix™ and Satin Matrix™ are made up of different kinds of pebbles, plus they have different application processes. The Pearl Matrix™ and Satin Matrix™ finishes are exposed aggregate finishes which means that the cement cream on the surface is removed during the final application phase. The Pearl Matrix™ and Satin Matrix™ finishes are made up of pebbles derived from quartz stone. On a hardness scale with diamonds being a 10, Quartz pebbles are a 7.5. Quartz pebbles are a very hard stone and do not react with pool chemicals.
