What is the difference between Preventive Medicine and a General Medicine Fellowship?
A General Medicine Fellowship is a fellowship through an Internal Medicine Department That trains internists to serve as faculty or leaders positions in government, foundations, or the health care industry. The programs educate individuals in research, teaching, administrative and advanced clinical skills required to assume these positions. The programs vary, but a few also offer an MPH. Please see the General Medicine Fellowship in the Fellowship section below for more information.
