What is the difference between prayer, praise, petition and intercession?

0

• Prayer is relationship building; it’s like talking to your best friend about everything. • Praise is when you love on the Lord like you are hugging your friend. • Petition of prayer is when we are asking God for help. When we petition God, we are asking God for the specific things we need in our life. Give us our daily bread. Give us the things we need to survive, a roof over our heads, employment etc. Petitions are usually self-orientated, presenting our personal needs to our Heavenly Father, in trust that He will provide. • Petitioning God for someone else is intercession. In order for us to effectively intercede for someone else, we must have that intimacy with God. Intercession is a step beyond prayer. It’s more of an advanced prayer because you are fighting spiritually on behalf of another. When we pray, we ought to expect God to move with our request and petition. God hears our prayers as our concerns are important to Him. There are different types of prayers and different ways
