What is the difference between powder coat paint and oil based enamel paint?
Powder coatings (PC’s). The primary benefits of powder coatings consist of very hard and durable surface characteristics. PC’s are available in some interesting textures and ‘vein effect’ colors. Powder coating is the preferred method from a production stand point for reasons of expediency and cost effectiveness. PC’s do not contain any rust inhibiting compounds. PC’s contain an aluminum oxide component that can react with alkaline (found in some Arizona soils) to create oxidation. limited color palette.
