What is the difference between Positional Open MRI machine and other open MRI machines?
The other so called “open MRI machines” in the market are not truly open. They are made of two magnetic plates between which the patient lies. So although the sides are open and patient can move his/her hands, the space between the plates where the patient must be squeezed into is small – usually less than 20 inches. Positional Open MRI unit is truly open. The patient can walk into the machine and have his/her MRI taken in any position necessary while listening to soothing music and watching a relaxing video. Another important difference is the strength of the magnetic field. Our Open MRI is almost twice as strong as the most of so called “open MRI machines” on the market.
