What is the difference between plastic and polypropylene?
Plastic: High quality vinyl that is electronically sealed (welded), usually over rigid board to provide long life and durability in products like binders, slip cases, lever arch files, etc. Sheet plastic is available in both clear and opaque and is currently available in up to 70 colours. The material accepts both screen printing (in your chosen colour) and litho printing (white vinyl only). Although available in a range of thicknesses, 350 micron is the UK standard. Coloured sheet vinyl readily accepts the addition of clear plastic pockets welded to its surface. Polypropylene: Polypropylene is a high quality plastic that is lightweight, yet extremely durable and which resists grease and scuff marks and is not affected by high or low temperatures. It is available in a range of thicknesses, 500 micron, 800 micron (UK standard), 1000 micron (by regular special making) and 1200 micron. The material is available in solid colours, clear frosted or clear and trans colour (clear with a tint).
