To answer you question concerning the differences between ponderosa and radiate pine (plantation pine) would be the species of wood, as they both finish beautifully. Our radiate line is imported from New Zealand and Chili. This line does hold more uniform color and grain due to the rate of growth. The ponderosa pine is grown in the North West and has a wider range of color and grain variations versus the radiate pine. You would be required to check with a distributor for pricing.
