What is the difference between Photosynthesis, Transpiration and Respiration?
Photosynthesis is when the plant uses energy from sun, water uptake from roots, and CO2 creates sugar from its own sap to make ATP (energy for living). Transpiration: My question is what is it called when we sweat from being outside in the hot sun? Transpiration. See…plants transpire through these breathing holes (stomata’s) located throughout the bottom part of the leaf. Just like us, they transpire water, but not salt like us. These little amounts of water evaporates into the atmosphere (evapotranspiration). The hotter it gets the more water the plant will loose from these stomata’s openings. Respiration: My question is what does the respitory part of our body do (lungs)? Breath. Plants respire like us. When we breath, oxygen and other air elements moves into our lungs and then we breath out CO2. Plants breath through the same openings as where it transpires. Plants breath in CO2 and breaths out O2 (only when the sun is shining). To rap it up, stomata’s plays a big role in respirat
