Ans: PC Based DVR are PCI cards which get installed in Computer System. The Cameras are then connected to DVR card. The Software is supplied with the DVR card. Which runs on Computer system and records all the moves of connected cameras to computer harddisk in desired mode. StandAlone DVR are Independant Device which has it’s own hardware specifically designed to record/play/broadcast/manager camera videos. A harddisk is also installed in standalone DVR.
