WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PAVING STONES AND RETAINING WALL STONES, OR BLOCKS AND FLAGSTONES?
1. Paving Stones: Paving bricks, or patio blocks, are typically man-made of colored concrete or clay brick. Various dimensions, and random sizing are available in a variety of textures, patterns and colors 2. Retaining Wall Stones: Retaining wall stones or blocks are man-made concrete units available in various sizes and colors and are used to support landscape elevations, for example, to prevent erosion or to level and extend uneven landscapes. They are also used to retain raised flower beds if so desired. 3. Flagstone: Flagstone is created from naturally occurring, quarried rock by splitting or slicing off thin, (1/4″ to 1/2″ ) irregular shapes. Flagstone is primarily used for walk-ways or patios.
