When a transfer is paused, all connections related to the paused transfer are broken with the other clients so that no data is transfered, but sources aren’t dropped, so that when the transfer is resumed, aMule will try to connect to those sources. Instead, when a transfer is stopped, all sources are dropped so, when it’s resumed, aMule will start searching for clients who are sharing that file.
