A. Patent material is a man made material and has a very shiny, almost mirror like appearance. PU is short for polyurethane . It is a man made material designed to be less expensive than leather. It also has a different texture and is less shiny than patent. Leather is the highest quality natural material and it has a texture pattern. It also is very comfortable and supple. Items made from natural leather are usually more expensive than the man-made patent and PU.
