What is the difference between Painted Cement Plaster & Synthetic Plaster ?
– Cement Plaster retains water & is cured by water; whereas Synthetic Plaster is water-repellent & is cured by air. There are chances of water seepage, leakage, cracks, blisterings, fungus growth, corrosion of structure, etc. in the Cement Plaster whereas Synthetic Plaster is water-repellent and becomes stronger as time passes. – Synthetic Plaster is based on Synthetic fibres which makes it flexible, preventing cracks, except static cracks; whereas Cement Plaster becomes hard and shrinks on curing due to its non-elastic property. – The appearance of Synthetic Plaster is quite pleasing & gives as aesthetic effect as it hides the defects of Cement Plaster. – Synthetic Plaster also does not require regular painting.
