What is the difference between outcomes-informed care and evidence-based practice?
Evidence-base practice refers to the guideline for clinical practice that rests on the assumption that outcomes are best improved by choosing the most effective treatment for a specific diagnosis as studied in well-controlled clinical trials1. Therefore, evidence-based practice dictates that treatment methods that have been extensively studied and empirically supported in clinical trials should be used in real-world practice whenever possible.
