What is the difference between Optical and Digital Zoom in PV-GS500?
With an optical zoom, the camera’s lens contains multiple elements that move in or out in relation to one another, creating a magnification factor. For a digital zoom, the a processor in the camera takes the image from the lens, and uses algorithms to interpret what the image through the lens would look like at a higher magnification.
