We have now moved from OPC to CEM I and PPC to CEM II or CEM IV. The difference is that CEM II and CEM IV have fillers like pozzolana or limestone while CEM I has no additives. It is important to note that fillers do not lead to lower strengths and in fact in several cases the 28-day strengths have been higher for the pozzolanic cements. The best cement is CEM II or CEM IV for all house building applications.
