What is the difference between online, supplemental and hybrid courses?
online courses are accessed thru the eLearn system. They are asynchronous (meaning you never have to be anywhere at a specific time) and normally all interaction between student and instructor takes place online.Supplemental courses are traditional classes which use eLearn to supplement the classroom experience with things like placing the course syllabus, class email, discussion threads or PowerPoint presentations online. Supplemental courses still meet in a classroom for all scheduled hours each week.Hybrid courses are courses that meet approximately half of the scheduled hours in the classroom; the rest of the time is made up of activities accessed or completed online thru eLearn.
