What is the difference between online courses, ASKME courses, and CD courses?
Online courses are accessed through a specific web site with a secure log on and password. Activities and graded assignments are submitted through the internet. ASKME courses are online courses that use video tutorials in place of textbooks. CD courses have the course content on a CD-ROM which is mailed to the student upon enrollment. Some of the graded assignments in these courses must be submitted by regular mail. Each course is available in only one format. Please see web site for course descriptions. All courses are written by subject matter experts who have classroom teaching experience in Texas schools and cover the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills as required by the Texas Education Agency.
